Notes on line 28:
The large black stain partially obscures some letters in this line.
The letters erit at the start of the line are important
for connecting this manuscript to the manuscript tradition for the
Medea. erit may be the ending of exterit
or exerit, both of which are erronious variants that are
attested in other manuscripts.
Medea verse 687:
The two possible readings of this manuscript are:
trifidamque linguam exterit et quaerit quibus
or
trifidamque linguam exerit et quaerit quibus
The traditonal modern reading of the text is:
trifidamque linguam exertat et quaerit quibus
