Finding Literary Maps at the Clark

Most literary maps found at the Clark Library share the Library of Congress subject heading "Literary Landmarks" followed by the map's location. Many of these maps also fall under the "Pictorial Maps" subject, although this search would include many maps that don't include literary information. 

The best way to search through the Clark's, or any University of Michigan Library's, collection is through Mirlyn, the online library catalog. In Mirlyn, select "Subject" from the drop down menu below the search box and search for "literary landmarks maps" to browse the library's collection of literary maps. It's also important to note that performing this same subject search in Mirlyn Classic may yield slightly different results.

While literary maps of fictional places aren't featured in this exhibit, the Clark Library does have a few of these in its collection. While some of these may fall under the Literary Landmarks subject heading as well, a Mirlyn subject search for "Imaginary Maps" will yield better results.
