Sandra S. Cole, former director of the University of Michigan's Comprehensive Gender Services Program and retired professor of the universities school of medicine, joined other transgender activists in a camp out at the 1994 Michigan Womyn's Music Festival to protest the event's "womyn-born-womyn" only attendance policy.
