Description
During the nineteenth century romantic friendships among women were considered as innocent and non-sexual. By the early 1900s, however, passionate same-sex affection began to be viewed as perverted. Except for their last names, nothing is known about this pair except that they were friends with Mabel Victoria Mann, a graduate of the University of Michigan Homeopathic Hospital Training School for Nurses.
