This exhibit is the online expanded version of the physical exhibition, Greek Manuscripts at the University of Michigan: A Celebration, held at the Audubon Room (Hatcher Library North) from March 26 to June 28, 2022. Indeed, these exhibits celebrate, and are greatly indebted to, two recent major publications describing our extraordinary collection of Greek manuscripts:

Nadezhda Kavrus-Hoffmann, Catalogue of Greek Manuscripts at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Vol. 1. Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, 2021

Julia Miller, Tradition and Individuality: Bindings from the University of Michigan Greek Manuscript Collection. Ann Arbor: The Legacy Press, 2021.

I am very grateful to Nadia and Julia for sharing their knowledge with me and making available their publications for the preparation of this exhibit, Julia graciously providing me with the entries for the section on bindings.

Additionally, I am also greatly indebted to Annaclara Cataldi Palau's extensive work regarding the origin and provenance of the Burdett-Coutts manuscripts, particularly her recent publication:

The Angela Burdett-Coutts Collection of Greek Manuscripts. Bibliologia 62. Turnhout: Brepols, 2021.

However, as the adage goes, any errors are my sole responsibility.

Kyle Clark and Michelle Fontenot granted me permission to reproduce images of St. Nicholas Anapausas and Francis W. Kelsey respectively; and Randal Stegmeyer photographed all the manuscripts on display. My gratitude also goes to Shannon Zachary for her careful reading of the text and valuable comments. Gregor Langbehn and his team provided the technical support to make the digital exhibit available to visitors in the Audubon Room.
