Special Collections Pop-Up Cat Café Exhibit
Monday 9/26 from 12:30-3:30pm
September 26th is poet T.S. Eliot’s birthday. Among his many famous works is Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, the inspiration for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s recently revived Broadway musical Cats. We brought some of our favorite illustrations of cats to the Shapiro Undergraduate Library and turned Bert’s Cafe into our very own cat cafe for all to see! Coffee and tea-related ephemera from the Janice Bluestein Longone Culinary Archive rounded out this purr-fect pop-up display of cats and culinary history.
