Are you interested in making 3D models, or just curious about how 3D printing works? Then head to the Duderstadt Center this Friday to visit the UM3D Lab Open House. Located in the Central Collaboration Area on the main floor of the Duderstadt Center, the UM3D Lab is one of several high-tech resources in the Digital Media Commons. It features multiple 3D scanners, a virtual reality lab and knowledgeable staff on hand to help with all kinds of projects.
Though the UM3D Lab always has an open door policy, the open house is a great chance to hear about the lab's capabilities first-hand. The lab is often used for rapid prototyping, data visualization and 3D scanning, and is an excellent tool for engineers, artists, scientists and anyone interested in design. While you're at the Duderstadt Center, you may also want to stop by some of the DMC's other makerspaces, including the Video Studio, Audio Studio and Design Labs.
The open house will take place this Friday, January 16th, from 12 to 6pm. For more information, please visit the UM3D Lab's website.
