This week the Shapiro Lobby is celebrating LGBTQ Pride Month with an exhibit created by Meredith Kahn and the UM Spectrum Center featuring Pride Month events, resources, and statistics. We will also be hosting June's book display "Commemorating Stonewall" for LGBTQ Pride Month.
As we enter LGBT History Month this month, our reflection post shines the spotlight on a Pride exhibit from June 2016 created by our very own Women's Studies & Open Access Librarian, Meredith Kahn. This exhibit was displayed in the Shapiro Lobby during LGBT Pride Month and additional slides were included to support of victims of the Orlando shooting and those affected in the LGBTQ+ community.
This week in Shapiro, we recognize National Coming Out Day and LGBTQ+ History Month with an exhibit that contains helpful resources for those who are coming out or are part of the LGBTQ+ community. We also have information tables from Alpha Omicron Pi and Library User Discovery Services.
